Week 5 Newsletter
Dear Mesorah Family,
This week was one for the books at Camp Mesorah!
The week began with Israel Day, as campers proudly wore blue and white and celebrated our love for Eretz Yisrael. A highlight was the Yachad Israeli Shuk, where campers enjoyed an interactive marketplace experience created by our amazing Yachad campers. That evening, the entire camp came together for a leibidig kumzitz with Rav Shlomo Katz, filling camp with beautiful singing and incredible ruach.
The excitement continued with one of the biggest events of the summer – Zimriyah. After weeks of preparation and rehearsals, every division took the stage and performed with tremendous enthusiasm and talent. The Dome was packed with cheering campers and staff, making for an unforgettable night. Congratulations to both campuses as both performances were truly moving. An extra shoutout to the boys campus, whose outstanding performance earned them this year’s Zimriyah championship!
The excitement kept going the following night as Yoni Z came to Camp Mesorah for an unforgettable concert. Campers filled the Dome, singing every word and dancing together throughout the performance. Yoni brought incredible energy while sharing songs filled with Jewish pride and inspiration, creating an electric atmosphere from beginning to end.
As the second half of camp got underway, we welcomed a new group of campers who jumped right into the action. Campers had a blast showing off their creativity on Decades Day, lacing up their skates for roller skating in the Dome, and our girls traveled to Camp Kaylie for an exciting basketball tournament.
The competition continued with the Gridiron Games, as bunks faced off in a variety of football-inspired agility and skills challenges. Campers raced through each event, showing off their speed, coordination, and teamwork.
We wrapped up the week with Chanukah in July and a basketball skills competition. Throughout the week, campers also earned bracelets that could be exchanged for a variety of fun prizes. It was another incredible week filled with ruach, friendships, and great memories.
