Week 6 Newsletter
Dear Mesorah Family,
The week began with a truly memorable Mesorah Dream Experience at the American Dream mall. Seeing so many of you and witnessing the unforgettable embraces between our campers and their families was truly moving. Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the day such a meaningful experience for our Camp Mesorah mishpacha.
Monday marked the beginning of one of the most anticipated weeks of the summer: Trip Week. Our Older Teens kicked things off as they departed on their Niagara Falls adventure, while back in camp the evening wrapped up with our always-popular Silent DJ. Campers danced the night away with glowing headphones and endless energy, making it the perfect start to an unforgettable week.
On Tuesday, our Younger Teens headed off to Boston. That evening, campers were treated to an incredible BMX bike show, where professional riders amazed everyone with gravity-defying tricks and spectacular stunts.
Wednesday brought even more excitement as our Shalhevet campers departed for their action-packed getaway to Lake George. Campers back in camp enjoyed an incredible lineup of activities, including raft building, bonfires, Capture the Counselor, night swims, glow-in-the-dark dodgeball, and so much more. Every day brought new opportunities for teamwork, creativity, and plenty of camp spirit.
Thursday was one of the biggest days of the summer, as nearly every division was off campus enjoying an unforgettable trip. Our Nitzi campers spent the day at FunCity, where they enjoyed bowling, games, and nonstop fun. Younger Nerot headed to Urban Air for trampolines, go-karts, and arcade excitement. Older Nerot experienced an action-packed day that included a scavenger hunt and fishing competition at Walton Pond, a bonfire with s’mores, Dave & Buster’s, and cheering on the Binghamton Rumble Ponies at the baseball game. Meanwhile, our Older Teens, Younger Teens, and Shalhevet campers continued making lifelong memories on their overnight adventures.
After such a busy and exciting week, campers enjoyed a relaxing Pajama Day on Friday, the perfect way to wind down before Shabbat while still sharing laughs and memories with their friends.
More than anything, our campers haven’t stopped talking about how excited they are for Shabbat. Our Shabbat experience has truly become the heart of the Mesorah experience, and we cannot wait to share another meaningful and inspiring Shabbat together. The excitement will continue on Motzaei Shabbat with an engaging Lip Sync Battle led by Moshe that is sure to be another highlight of the summer.
